Taiguey participates in the network of Ecotourism Community Enriquillo

Taiguey Foundation is part of the steering committee for the formation of a network of ecotourism in the region Erniquillo.
The network will target general "provide a framework for the harmonious coordination and integration of regional initiatives eco tourism community in the Region Enriquillo, which promotes an eco tourism service offering competitive and quality through a joint marketing strategy."
Specific Goals
1. Contribute to institutional strengthening of member organizations that make up this network
2. Coordinate processes of learning through exchange of experiences, information, technical, and so on. both locally, regionally and nationally
3. Promote training and formation of groups or individuals offering services in the Region ecoturisticos Enriquillo: accommodation, meals, guides and practical interpretation, transporters, craftsmen, and so on.
4. Working for the defense of natural resources and environment
5. Create and implement a common strategy for marketing of ecotourism offerings included in the network
6. Serve as a channel for the participation of members of the network in the various programs and projects that are of interest to national, regional and sectoral
7. Define policies and plans for ecotourism development for the region Enriquillo, which reflect the needs of communities and institutions and avoid duplication of efforts and resources
8. Capturing human, technical and financial aspects of domestic and foreign sources
9. Promote harmony and brotherhood within the network members
10. Encourage the participation and coordination with other institutions and grassroots organizations
11. Establish and monitor the quality standards of ecotourism products and services offered by the Internet
