Activity Report 2007 of the Foundation Taiguey

Taiguey Foundation for the year 2007 has been a lot of activity and progress, in particular the development of the activities within the strategy to support community development in the community of Ciénega (Barahona province) raised in 2004-2005 . With the opening of the community telecentre Guanaba.net (February 2007), the boot of the proposed formation of the cooperative agro-processing in women (Transagro - April 2007), the adoption of the draft and start community ecotourism (June 2007) and also other activities such as the development of Geographic Information System to support community participation in municipal planning (Junio-Sep. 07) can be said to be entered into in the full implementation of the axis of community work. And were established partnerships with state institutions and development organizations.
The other axis of Foundation activities, networking and exchange of knowledge, was maintained with minimum action (Bohio, Civic) and preparing the relaunch of the main projects CARISNET and Act! Ivate.
