Hurricane Dean passes close: Guanaba.Net and the Civil Defense in Action

On the evening of Saturday 16 August 2007, Hurricane Dean was less than 100 km off the coast of La Cienega. Guanaba.Net and Civil Defense teamed up to keep residents informed on the progress of the municipality of the phenomenon and preventive measures and precautions to take if the cyclone entered the south coast of the island. Thank God the eye look beyond cycle and avoided major damage. Only a few wooden houses, the beaches and the Cienega Bahoruco were affected. This is one of the ads we spread:
