My internship with the NGO Foundation Taiguey (Anna Maria was!)

On 13 October 2007 came to the Swamp for a six-month internship at the NGO Foundation Taiguey. I enjoyed myself. During these months working with my colleagues in the projects and Transagro Ecotourism and see the results ... You can almost Coodeci of Transagro appointed a cooperative and the Ecotourism Project has begun to train people in Cienaga and Bahoruco!
I am very proud to have been part of this team in this NGO and having lived in La Cienaga and known her very pleasant people. Already six months have gone fast and I have already returned to Holland and looking back I see my internship at The Swamp as an experience to remember never again.
Besides sometimes I have to give me a pinch in the arm to realize that everything has been real and not a dream. But life in the village has not always been easy for me, as in the first few months I had to get used to local life, but once I discovered more or less accustomed to life in the Dominican Republic is very beautiful: the beautiful people and gracious with their customs and the beautiful nature (especially in the outskirts of La Cienaga!).
Anyway do an internship at The Swamp has been a tremendous enrichment for me, I learned a lot of culture and people. I hope that the projects are successful and which will improve the lives of Cienagueros sexes.
I would like to thank the coordinators and Yacine Vicky for giving me the opportunity to do an internship and I also want to thank my colleagues of both the foundation and Guanaba.Net. Thank you very much for everything. I wish them good luck in all things that are on the way and I hope that we will soon.
