VERNET Enterprises, Inc. and RutaCaribe Dominican donate to the Center Guanaba.net educational software for use by the educational community of La Cienaga

[July 22 2008] In a crowded ceremony, which was supported by the Directorate General of Computer Education, with the presence of teachers from different schools in the community, social organizations (Plan International) and Representatives of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic, it was the act of delivering educational software. The corporate donors were represented by the President of Dominican RutaCaribe, Mr. Paulino Ogando, a specialist in e-learning and information technology for development. .
The educational tools and software donated will complement the programs of strategic use of ICTs to develop the Taiguey Foundation, the Center Guanaba.net and the Ministry of Education with the support of INDOTEL, Microsoft and other corporations, so to contribute to the development of the community of La Cienaga. Titles included in the donation are brand products VERNET and Riverdeep, and cover different areas of knowledge, among which are: Values for Life, aimed at children and adolescents aged 4 to 12; Destination Math, going 1 for Learning math in Grades K-3 eighth and the Basic Level Course IV for grades 6th, 7th and 8th; Destination Reading, learning English for children in pre-primary to 2nd grades of basic education.
It also included titles: The Planet of the verbs (5th to 8th Primary, Elementary Level), Nora, Tu Amiga Computer (content integrated with the area of Information Technology for children 4 to 12 years); droplet Ecological Tales (areas science and literature), Journey to the Fund of the Sea (area of Language and Literature), learn by playing through the count (area of Language and Literature), Exploring the backpack, to improve techniques for studies in children from 4th level of basic education, and the Series Gaby (Gaby and the Magical Snowflake, Gaby and the New Toy, Gaby and Mirror Wise), the area of Language and Literature. All are integrated educational materials are recommended for children aged 4 to 12 years.
After hearing a talk on the Computer as a Tool for Teaching, delivered by Mr. Paulino Ogando, the Lords Yacine Khelladi and Victoria Apolinario, of the Foundation and the Center Taiguey Guanaba.net, thanked the donation and called on those present to do not expect to use the digital tools for learning they receive, which are available at the Center for Guanaba.net the use of the educational community of La Cienaga. The Regional Office of Education No.1 headquartered in Barahona, which was represented by a technical committee that led the Mercedes Jimenez, also thanked the donation received and congratulated the Guanaba.net Center for its work in favor of the education community .
