This Sunday, September 22, 2007, as the climax of the "putting the Ciénega in the Map" was held with the facilitation of Mr. Sunday Matias, an expert on municipal issues, the workshop "Participatory Municipal Planning and the use of the Maps" with the aim of sensitizing the participants on the concepts of Municipal Planning and processes to be put into operation and uses of GIS tool in planning. The workshop was held at the Library of La Cienaga town hall and was attended by 33 people representing various organizations, aldermen, treasurer and employees of the City Council, representatives of FEDOMU, and the program of Transparency and Citizen Action. With the facilitation Geologist Raul Ponce's mapping department of the National Bureau of Statistics will make the data-processing workshop with the objective of the participants to acquire knowledge sovereign Basic Geographic Information System (GIS) and the Process Generation and update maps with Arc View software and management basics. A census was held within the framework of the Community Project Putting La Cienaga in the Map for lifting of a geo-information. The Census Putting The Swamp in the Map was made by people from the community on 7, 8 and Aug. 9, they visited all the households in the town of La Cienaga and Fudeco wearing shirts with the campaign of Fighting Corruption. With the aim of lifting with GPS of all homes, their locations and references in order to make easier the next census families to be implemented. Will conclude with the geroreferenciacion of housing. The workshop, aimed at / as candidates to censistas sought that the participants manage the implementation of the census questionnaire. At the same was discussed the questions in the census form and perform a test census in which the participants took to implement the questionnaire. This Sunday, June 24, about 15 volunteers to lift the data that will be in the Geographic Information System of the community, participated in a workshop on use of GPS. Using a new device and a new technology that will put the Ciénega in Map aroused considerable interest. Read the Report GPS Workshop. A workshop was held with 25 people from the community to identify the areas to geo referencing. In that identified some 10 areas, indicators and prioritized areas.

It also reports on the different modalities for the lifting of the information.

On June 4, 2007 in the morning was held the meeting to launch the project planning and "La Cienaga Putting on the Map." The workshop was planning the launch of the project and defined the responsibilities of the different partners in the project. Also, ideas were identified possible variables to geo-referencing, and options for gathering information in the household and community levels.
