In Section: Ecotourism Cienaga - Bahoruco, Community Projects, Trans-Agro
The Cooperative Group for the Development of La Cienaga was formally established in the Cooperative Agricultural and Multiple Services for the Development of La Cienaga (COODECI) in the Constituent Assembly held the first of September in the local spring, the municipality La Cienaga. Coodeci will be based organization to manage the activities of the two income generating projects (processing of fruits and ecotourism community) but can perform many other activities 
(such as savings and loans). This is a result of hard work the team of the Foundation Taiguey carried out with financial support from the Social Fund of the Embassy of France, the Environment Fund of the United Nations (PPS) and the newly confirmed support of the Foundation Intermaricana ( FIA). A big applause to the group manager for his work and for laying the Cienaga 'Forward!
Similarly in the Assembly were elected / as the / as members who make up the various councils responsible for directing the COODECI.
COODECI has a nominal partner of 53 / ace of which 42 were present at the time of passing list and had a right to speak and vote in the Constituent Assembly.
The event was attended by Lic. Ilonka Coiscou, director of the Regional Center of Enriquillo The Institute for Development and Credit Cooperative (IDECOOP), Mrs. Oriana Bataille, the Fund for the Development of the French Embassy, Dr. Isidoro Féliz representing Ing. Moreta Trustees of the City Hall Municipal de La Cienaga, sir. Arturo Melo, president of the association of carriers of La Cienaga (ASOCHOPACE), Pimentel Worthy of the Cooperative Pro Fallen, Emmanuel Melo of Plan International, and Mr. Sigfrido Canario of the Adventist Church, among other personalities from the community of La Cienaga.
The / os / membership as to form the various councils responsible for directing the COODECI were:
- In the Administrative Council: Danny Santana, Erinalda Medina, Alexis Medina, Mayra Santana Féliz, Aurelio Féliz, Mildred Guevara and Jose (Remedy) Guevarra
- In the Supervisory Board: Providence Cuevas, Florentina Féliz, nac Santana and Aurora Medina.
- Council of Credit: Isidora Magalis Féliz, Percier Cave, Neroli N. Feliz, Josefa Gomez and Jorge Mesa.
The voting held on a regular basis. The people elected were sworn in by Lic. Ilonka Coiscou, regional director of IDECOOP. The sexes members as elected shall meet in the next eight days to make the allocation of senior management, as provided in the Articles of Association of COODECI.
The ceremony ended with the artistic presentation of the League folk La Nueva Esperanza, headed by Mr. Remedy Jose Guevara and the extra "The Rose Garden" of again. Carmen Pimentel (bugs).

The Foundation Taiguey made a call to participate in the collection, classification Quantification of the garbage and in the community of Cienaga on Sunday September 21 2008 in the event called the World Day to Clean Beaches with the involvement of volunteer groups as ecotourism guides were from the community, institutions such as the city council and others. All he actively participated in the successful realization of this event.
