To contribute to the strengthening of the Caribbean Telecenters (see
definition ) initiatives as a tool for the human development
of the rural and/or urban marginal communities.
1. Identify
and map the active initiatives in the region (either NGO, academy,
private of government driven, all Caribbean)
2. Identify
and analyze collectively the main challenges and needs of these initiatives
3. Identify
collectively which could be addressed collectively by a regional
initiative and how
4. Set
the bases and steps for a permanent regional network of exchange
and collaboration.

Will
be invited 25-30 practitioners (telecentre promoters and managers,
researchers, donors, but all involved in operations).

Participants
will be selected targeting practitioners with dynamic and
ongoing Community Telecenters initiatives.

Preference
will be given to
those who are proactive in answering the survey for
the study

The
selection will be made considering as much as possible a balanced
and representative mix of

Sectors
(private, NGO, and Government sectors)

Languages
( English, French, Spanish, and Dutch speaking participant)

Developmental
approaches to telecenters and models

facilitation towards specific objectives:
